AZR alloy undergoes a unique, 3-step thermal treatment proces. After the process is completed, the CAT 9 bat displays an alloy material that has better feel, more forgivesness and incredible performance. As well, Marucci understands that an uncomfortable swinging experience with a bat is detrimental to the enjoyment of playing baseball. With that knowledge, they have incoporated the AV2 anti-vibration knob to this bat. Even though the CAT 9 is a one-piece bat (and one-piece bats can sometimes be uncomfortable due to vibrations from hitting), this bat swings as smoothly and comfortably as nearly any two-piece bat out there!
